Orven Stormmane learned the foundations of the craft from a disgraced watch captain, who demanded three answers before offering any lesson: who would benefit, who would pay the price, and what would remain when the excitement ended.

Now the trail has narrowed to one dangerous purpose: expose the bargain hidden beneath the city charter. Orven Stormmane has accepted that the next door may close forever once crossed.
